What are the different Map Tabs and how should I use them?

in Scenarios

Within Precision Planner, there are multiple map tabs that provide unique views of the geography associated with the created proposal.

Option 1.  Profile Map:  This version displays the geography by zip code included in the proposal.

Also available is Profile SubZip Map, which shows and labels coverage by subzip name; and Profile Map (Lg) which generates a file for large format maps (11 x 17).

Option 2.  Profile Radius Map:  This version is a visualization of the radius around the store(s) which was selected in the Target page of the proposal.  Zip codes included are highlighted in blue, while a red ring is the set radius.

Also available is Profile SubZip Radius Map, which shows and labels coverage by subzip name; and Profile Radius Map and SubZip Map (Lg) which generates a file for large format maps (11 x 17).

Option 3.  Location Allocation Map: Location Allocation maps have been created to show what zips, subzips or zones are assigned to each store locations.  If the proposal includes multiple locations, this version is visually helpful by displaying the zip codes associated with each location.  A color location legend is included in the map.

Also available is Location Allocation Map (Lg) which generates a file for large format maps (11 x 17).

Option 4.  Reference Map Primary and Secondary:  The heat map displays the results of the filtered geography based on the Reference criteria entered on the Target  At the bottom of the map is a summary of the filtering results.

If a second Reference selection was made, choose Reference Map Secondary to view the results.  Within both selections is the option to generate a large format map (Reference Map Primary Lg and Reference Map Secondary Lg).

 To Output Maps:

To output any of the above maps, click on Download  (located in the upper right area of your screen).   A popup will appear on your screen allowing you to select the file format for the output of your information.  Best Practice is to select PDF, then select Orientation as Landscape.  Next click on Create PDF.

Upon making your selection, a popup window will appear informing you the PDF file has been generated.  Click on Download to complete the action.  The file will be saved to your computer and is also seen in the lower left corner of your screen.  To immediately view, click on the file to open.
